Sheep stool
Sheep stool: a piece of craftsmanship for your home
A sheep stool is a stool in the shape of a sheep: a solid wooden body, a hand-carved head with horns of lime wood and a cover of genuine sheepskin. It is a seat, footstool and cuddly toy in one and brings warmth to any room.
How the sheep stool came about
Stools with a sheepskin cover have been found in farmhouse parlours for generations. The idea of turning one into a sheep with a head, horns and bell was born about eight years ago in good company. Since then, Sheepskin Nature has been making the sheep stools by hand, and Schafhocker.com brings them to your home.
What makes the sheep stool special?
- One of a kind: every stool is handmade and every fleece has grown differently. With stools that are ready to ship, you receive exactly the piece you see in the photos.
- Natural materials: genuine sheepskin and solid wood, nothing synthetic.
- Weight capacity: the wooden body carries up to 120 kilograms. The sheep stool is a proper piece of seating, not a toy.
- With bell: every sheep stool comes with a brass bell. On request we engrave a name bell.
Where the sheep stool fits in
As an eye-catcher in the living room, an extra seat at the dining table, for putting on shoes in the hallway or as the favourite spot in the nursery. The soft fleece invites you to sit down, and the sturdy body makes it suitable for everyday use. For counters and kitchen islands there are bar stools, for the little ones children's stools and rocking sheep.
Care
Sheepskin is easy to care for. Shake it out, brush it up with the fleece brush, dab stains straight away with a damp cloth, avoid direct sunlight. The wood only needs a dry cloth. A fleece brush comes with every stool.
Summary
